I figured I'd post this sense, the gaming convention/expo of the year is going on and no one's made a thread about it...

E3 is a expo held in los angeles, Ca; where game developers get to display all they're new shiny games, and so on.

now, the only reason I know this is because G4tv shows it even year around the same time its happening. Like this year, they have live feeds of what going on, looping the daily take through out the night until the next new day. This goes on for a week I think, or just till friday maybe.

Sense this thread is about a MASS of gaming treasure waiting to be discovered, I'll throw in some obvious links below who are out of state or dont receive G4tv from they're cable provider.

E3 2010 - Video Game Expo and Press Conferences - IGN

I really dont know where start, so I just pick out somethin that I was really excited about...

They showed this game called Rage by ID Software and its a FPS (first person shooter) and it reminds me of Borderlands. At first when I saw a sneak peak of Rage, I thought it was a ripe off of Borderlands, which it kinda is but isn't.

First off, the world in Rage is 100 percent original, meaning you won't be seeing the same texter's or same damn rock or trees every so often. Then there's the frame rate, which is outrageous from what they say" they cant believe its running on a xbox 360 slim". The AI is freaking ridiculious because its ever changing, not like some other games where the enemy only comes at you a certain way, these AI, come at you from freaking every where.

They're other games at E3 that I will taking about later. In truth, I wouldn't even be able watch it on tv if had'nt called the cable company to send a tech out to my house to get G4tv again. (i.e. it was taken away in my area along with a handful of other channels). lol.

Im real happy about twisted metal and maybe the 3rd birthday.

I just want Child of Eden. it looked fun playing that with Kinect. not interested in anything the ps3 offered...maybe because I havent really gotten into the ps3 yet.

Im always looking forward to the new donkey kong adventure for the wii. FINALLY. now all they need to do is NOT force us to shake the wiimote to play it

Meh the new 360 is sexy but I wouldn't upgrade to it. Seem like a waste for me since I got one already. Boy am I glad I held off on buying the DSi XL!! I'll just wait for the 3DS come out!

I wasn't able to watch it on G4 cause it was taken away. We used to have it on all tvs that had cable but now it only shows on the tvs that have that cable box that the cable company gives us. Sucks just being updated by blogs/vlogs/youtube. But I guess its better then nothing.

I think the Kinect and Move are just bad. Couldn't imagine seriously playing a game with them. Thats the same reason why I never considered buying a wii. And the games Xbox are releasing for it? Gay.

I think nintendo's E3 was the best this year, mainly because of the 3DS . Wasn't really interested in kinect(cant say that i am not interested in it at all), after watching how awesome the 3DS was. I mean, i really prefer playing a game with the traditional game controller, and not moving around my room hitting imaginary things making me look like a retard, no offence. As for sony, what the heck are they doing? the 3D thing was ok but, 3DS just made them look bad because of the need for 3D glasses. And as for playstation move, why do they even bother to work on it? Its almost if not perfectly similar to the wii's controller which came out like 4 years ago? Why not just come out with something new? So far, i think sony is behind Nintendo and Xbox.

I believe if I wanted to move around and play games like that, I would go outside and play them there. Death to motion controller and Kinetic. Hardware wise Nintendo probably won, but software is a completely different subject. I believe Value won for Portal 2 with steam upgrades on the PS3. But there are a ton of new games that I cant wait to play.
